On Wednesday 30 june 2021 from 12:00-13:00 hrs CET the Netherlands Kazakhstan Business Association (NKBA) will organize the webinar Kazakhstan: The Green Economy.
The Republic of Kazakhstan has a forward thinking and ambitious strategy to become a Green Economy.
The country is committed to long-term sustainable development based on conflict-free energy supply of all countries without damage to the environment. Kazakhstan provides for acceptance of unified norms and standards in energy production and consumption. Next to the energy sector there is also a lot of attention for other sustainability aspects. This webinar will give you an impression on how Kazakhstan intends to decarbonize and will give an example of a successful project that contributes directly to this strategy. It will be explained how at the university level the generations to come are being involved in the challenges ahead.

- The directions of the decarbonization of the Kazakh economy by Dr. Bakhyt Yessekina & Ms. Dana Galiyeva (Green Academy)
- The Eco-Talk project by Balzhan Zhumagazina (German-Kazakh University)
- The successful realisation of a solar energy park near Nur-Sultan Taylan Karamanli (KB-Enterprises)
