Kazakhstan is well known as an economy which is strong in the primary sector. The country has abundant natural resources and has been an agricultural powerhouse for decades.
These sectors still offer a lot of opportunities for investment and cooperation. What is perhaps less well known is that Kazakhstan is rapidly diversifying its economy into services and innovative business.
A remarkable success in that respect has been the recent IPO of Kaspi, the e-commerce app which holds 65% market share of digital payments in Kazakhstan and which is now rapidly expanding into neighbouring countries.
