The Netherlands Kazakhstan Business Association (NKBA) organised a meet-and-greet with HE the Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan in The Netherlands, Magzhan Ilyasov and HE the Ambassador of The Netherlands in Kazakhstan, Andre Carstens at the office of Witteveen+Bos in The Hague.

Before a public of approximately 60 interested entrepreneurs and interested individuals both Ambassadors addressed the opportunities that exist in the bi-lateral trade sphere. Kazakhstan offers tremendous opportunities in the field of agriculture, logistics, water management and extractive industries from The Netherlands.

It was emphasised that Kazakhstan concentrates on the creation of a favourable investment environment for foreign investors. The country can serve as a regional hub in Central Asia, from which markets in Central Asia, China and Russia can be served.

Henk Nieboer, the chairman of NKBA, explained that this new organisation intends to organise 3-4 similar events each year to create opportunities for companies and individual entrepreneurs in The Netherlands to inform themselves through presentations, discussion and networking about the opportunities in Kazakhstan.
